I’ve pretty much nailed down my race schedule for ‘09. Last month I already raced the Seroogy’s Valentine’s Day 15k and in a month I’ll be in New Orleans for the Ironman New Orleans 70.3 race. Here’s the goods:
- April 5th – Ironman New Orleans 70.3 Triathlon
- May 17th – Green Bay 1/2 Marathon
- June 14th – Ironman Kansas 70.3 Triathlon
- July 17th – Door County Half-iron Triathlon
- August 16th – Pigman Half-iron Triathlon
- October 10th – Ironman World Championships
There may be a smaller race or two in there, but this is basically it. I like the longer races and sticking to that distance this year. Lots of travel, big races…good times. I’m liking 2009’s race line-up!

If you have never been to New Orleans I think you will enjoy it. Amy and I have both been there twice and we always stay at the Hilton down by the River. Great hotel and close to everything. Amy was just there at the beginning of Mardi Gras this year for a Dental conference. So what is a 70.3?

Nevermind I understand the distance now. I notice that none of these sites are promoting the great Rob Yamry is coming to town. That is good. Because you are going to SHOCK the world this year! By the end of the year everyone in the Tri World is going to know who Rob Yamry is.
Kansas looks like a nice event. Lets hope for good weather on that one. Don’t want to end up in the land of OZ.
